Pre-Holiday Prioritization Workshop

Plan your month with intention!

Hey y'all!

For those who couldn't make it to yesterday’s live planning session, I completely forgot to record... oops! Blame Mercury 😅). So, I re-recorded an audio-only version and attached the slides at the bottom of this post.

I wanted to create a space for us to get grounded and intentional as we enter the final month of 2024. Because December can feel like an absolute clusterfuck.

What would you say to your Dec 2023 self?

We started the session with a guided meditation, taking time to connect with our December 2023 selves. What were we hoping for? What were we worried about? It's wild to think about how much can change in a year, isn't it?

Then we got into the nitty-gritty of prioritization and planning. We:

  1. identified what actually matters to us this month (because contrary to what capitalism tells us, not everything needs to be done by December 31st)

  2. checked our energy levels in three areas:

    • Social/relationships

    • Work tasks/relationships

    • Self-care/personal

  3. did a brain dump of ALL the tasks and sorted them into those three categories

  4. identified which lists weren't aligned with our current energy levels. Because having a massive social calendar when your social battery is at 2% is... not great!

The goal is to end up with a realistic list of what actually needs to get done this month, marking your top 3 most important tasks.

Some extra tips for tackling your December to-dos:

  • Create high/low energy task lists (I wrote about this before - check it out here to get a template)

  • Have a "just get it done" afternoon at your favorite coffee shop or co-working with a friend

  • Treat yourself when you complete something important (because we love a good reward system)

12 Ways to Treat Yourself Without Breaking the Bank - How to Money

Remember: You don't have to do all the things. You're allowed to say no, push things to 2025, or decide they're just not necessary at all.

Wishing you an easeful December, free of unnecessary pressure and urgency. May your social batteries be charged and your porridge be savory (IYKYK).

Peace, love and workflows,

Andrea

P.S. Want some accountability? Drop your top 3 tasks in the comments and I'll check in with you on the 31st!
