Okay, I need to know how you use your colour scheme across multiple calendars. Do you use a set colour for each calendar? A set palette across all of them?!
I typically have a set palette for the calendar as a whole and then will set a color for each calendar type (personal, work, blocks, etc.). I usually just go absolutely nuts on Pinterest to find a couple palettes I like and then mix and match.
