The Slowdown: Outlook Hell, Morning Regulation, Rap Battles, and more
The Rebellious Systems "Slowdown" — Issue #6 | May 2024
Heeeeeey…
I cannot believe it’s already May! I just started working with a new client who uses Outlook/Microsoft and I am in the systems fight of my life. It’s been years since I last used Outlook and I feel like I’m learning how to walk again.
The good news: Once I learn some new tricks, I can share them with my fellow Outlook babes! Stay tuned and keep fighting, 365 warriors.
Peace, love and workflows,
Andrea
📝 3 Things
Three things to check out…
I’m in the process of going off Wellbutrin and it’s made a mess of my moods and feelings. Yesterday, I found myself in a rage spiral and wasn’t quite sure what to do about it. So, I took to my whiteboard to map out my ideal morning. Here’s what it looks like:
45 minutes to wake up/arrive into the day
15 minutes to check in with myself through journaling or some kind of mindfulness practice
50 minutes to “start work” aka check emails, look at my to-dos, prep for the day’s meetings, and make a plan for the day
The result was a much more regulated me. So, I’ll pose the question to you too: What kind of interpersonal support do you need to start your day on the right foot?
This month, I’m teaming up with Amanda Laird of Slow & Steady Studio! She invited me to join her for this month’s Just Enough session on May 29 — and it’s all about systems!

What to do when your systems aren't working anymore
And have plenty of time for Q&A!

I am not even joking, I didn’t read a single newsletter in April. I did, however, read a lot of tweets about the Kendrick Lamar/Drake rap beef. Here’s a good summary.
