The Slowdown: Money & Movement & Motown — Oh My!
The Rebellious Systems "Slowdown" — Issue #3 | February 2024
Hey y’all —
I had a difficult time only choosing three things to highlight this month but I did it. Perhaps this is the year I finally conquer brevity?!
P.S. I’m hosting a free Mindful Inbox session with Alt Marketing School this week, Thursday, February 8 at 12pm Eastern. Click here to register.
Peace, love and workflows,
Andrea

Three things to check out…
I know I’m not the only one who’s evaluating their relationship with money and abundance right now. I loved this article; hopefully you can find an affirmation to encourage you on your financial journey too. Here are mine for this month:
“It is my sacred duty to heal unhelpful money habits so I can flourish financially.”
“I am grateful for everything I have and I’m excited for the abundance that is on its way.”
At my first “adult job,” one of my favorite coworkers and I would often partake in Motown Mondays to start the week on a happy note. Put some pep in your step with the greats:
Free Event on 2/13: 🔥 Move to Thrive: Mindful Movement Play to De-Stress & Find Joy (because I personally have not danced nearly enough in 2024).

What paid subscribers are getting this month…
📆 Mindful Prioritization Session on 2/29 at 11am Eastern — This is a 60-minute guided prioritization session meant to help you identify your top priorities/goals for the month of March so you can plan accordingly. (A recording will be available for those who can’t attend live.)
🎥 An Intuitive Approach to Prioritization Workshop recording to help plan out the month of February.

As if I couldn’t have loved this post enough, towards the end Morgan shared a system for organizing tasks based on tree rings 😻
“We live in a world full of systems; why not create our own? Why not take a closer look and discover the natural pace that best suits your personal development? The liberating aspect of this is that it can evolve with you.” -
“I find that naming MFB [More, Faster, Better] where you see it, even if you can’t opt out, wields some power and quells some anxiety. It helps you see that the problem is not you and your own inadequacies, but rather the flawed expectations of the institution or power structure you’re working in. It helps you use any small amount of power or leverage you may have in the situation — perhaps in the team you manage, or your ability to set your own hours, or walking away from people who don’t respect your time — to point to a better way.” -
